buying wine as a gift for a close friend, a colleague, or a loved one,
it
is always difficult to know what they will really appreciate,
especially if the intended person is a wine enthusiast. Not to worry,
though, because I'm here!
ON BUYING A WINE GIFT FOR SOMEONE:
When buying a wine-related gift for someone, it is always important to remember one thing: that the item being purchased ought to match, as best as possible, the intended recipient's taste --- believe me, this is an especially significant concept, as peoples' taste(s) in different wines sometimes vary to the extreme.
Here is what I offer:
ON BUYING A WINE GIFT FOR SOMEONE:
When buying a wine-related gift for someone, it is always important to remember one thing: that the item being purchased ought to match, as best as possible, the intended recipient's taste --- believe me, this is an especially significant concept, as peoples' taste(s) in different wines sometimes vary to the extreme.
Here is what I offer:
Personal advice via phone (or email,
if preferred) on selecting the most perfect wine-related gift(s) at the
L.C.B.O. or
through private agencies (or independent, out-of-Ontario stores). This
is extremely useful for out-of-country (or even out-of-province)
persons or organizations that need consultation on selecting premium
items, many of which are difficult to obtain within the L.C.B.O. system.- To obtain wine-related gifts on my own time, subject to consultation on the recipient's taste in wine. This is much like having one's own personal shopper for wine gifts, which can be especially useful during the holiday season, for instance, when one has lots of gifts to buy!
- If the need arises, I am also able to serve as a wine courier to make sure
that wine gifts are always delivered on time --- this is like having one's own personal FedEx at one's disposal!
